One of the 2 or 3 worst days of my life was July 11, 2006 when we laid my beloved Ann Prebys to rest. I went to Evanston for the service and when the procession went to the crematorium it rained so hard there was only a few feet of visibility. It was appropriate for the occasion, though. I just had to paint this picture. It may have been the most difficult one I have painted. Rest in Peace Ann. I love you dearly and miss you terribly. The day I met you was the luckiest day of my life, and the day you died was the worst. |
