This picture combines two of my very favorite things about Santa Barbara, the beautiful summer nights and The Arlington Theater. I love the lights in the tower and the balcony, combined with the white marquee. The Vincent Van Gogh sky is both a celebration of the elation at sitting out and painting on a gorgeous night, and a tribute to one of my favorite painters. Actually, I can’t envision painting this subject any other way and capturing it’s magic and beauty.
