"Brown Cymbidiums 2"

This is the second of my two paintings of Brown Cymbidiums. I really like the chocolate brown orchid flowers with the red tones, white throats, and spectral red in the throats, all against the cream colored background. This was also an interesting periods of my life. Ann and I had split up, she moved to San Francisco although we still talked on a regular basis, and I was making about $80 a month LESS than my rent. Something always came along, though, and I was able to live alone in my apartment without having to rent out my extra space, until Ann ended up moving back in.
