This gallery features my copies of the Great Masters. All great painters learned by copying the masters who came before them. Eugene Delacroix went so far as to say that "...the greatest painters are the greatest copiers." In these pictures I don't try for slavish imitation, but rather work as if from a model, using it as a guide while painting my own picture. I pay tribute to the people I admire and, as Vincent van Gogh said, "I learn things."
