When I moved back to Santa Barbara from Boston after studying the Masters at Museum of Fine Arts and the Fogg, I really learned color from painting all the flower gardens. I painted a number of paintings of Pete's Garden. He was an old man who planted blue delphiniums for me to paint, and I painted a lot for several years until he died. That's where I REALLY learned color. Any comments or suggestions about the new site would be much appreciated. You can email me at paul@paulb.com.
