I've visisted Hawaii twice. In 2012 I visited my friends Lu and Dusty for about two weeks on the Big Island of Hawaii. I went all over the Kona side, including my friends' favorite surf spots, beaches, and a luau. Next was Hilo for three nights and four days. I visited Akaka Falls, the Hawaii Tropical Botanical Garden, where I painted Halyconia and Orchids, then went to Akaka Falls, wheree I painted that falls, another, smaller Falls, and a tree conopy of Acacia trees and much more. On the way back to Kona I stopped at the Black Sand Beach. My first trip was in 2003 and I spent three days each on Oahu, Maui, and Kauai. I was fascinated by the big surf on the North Shore of Oahu, went to the Old Lahaina Luau on Maui, 1/10/03, the 110th anniversary of the deposition of the last Queen. The N'apali Coast was the highlight on Kauai. Click a thumbnail to enlarge. You can email me at
