"Iris Bouquet in a Chinese Vase"

Last year when I visited in May and got my apartment in Mt. Shasta I saw a spectacular display of these Bearded Irises with gray violet tops and light clearer violet pe tals on the side of the house. I had never seen an Iris that looked like that and waited patiently until they bloomed this year. I painted a garden with them and this Bouquet of Irises. That color of the tops and contrast with the bottom petals was extremely difficult, but I came away with this picture. I picked a couple of the Irises with Orange tops and Crimson petals trimmed in gold, which were also new to me, threw in a big Yellow Iris and came out with this Bouquet in my Chinese vase.
