"The Catch"

On November 8, 1997 the Cornhuskers rolled into Columbia to take on a red hot and under-rated Missouri team. The Tigers were coming off big road wins at Colorado and Oklahoma State, where they handed the Cowboys their first loss. After trailing for much of the game, Nebraska took over around their own 45 yardline with just over a minute left, and Missouri ahead 38-31. As time ran out, Scott Frost threw to Shevin Wiggins in the end zone. Wiggins went down, and as the ball fell to the ground, it bounced off his foot, up in the air, and Matt Davison made a diving catch in the back of the end zone to tie the game. Frost scored in overtime and Nebraska went on to win the game 45-38 on their way to their unprecedented third Championship in four years.
