Quarterback Scott Frost left a lot of defenders grasping at air. As a senior he rushed and passed for over 1,000 yds. each in leading Nebraska to it's third National Championship in four years. In the Orange Bowl Championship game Frost rushed for 60 yds., passed for 125 yds., and scored three touchdowns. The Cornhuskers demolished Tennessee, 42-17 to run their record to 13-0, best in the nation. It was the Husker's third undefeated season in five years, as Coach Tom Osborne closed out his career with a remarkable 60-3 record over that span. |
