"Panther Meadows on Mount Shasta"
Panther Meadows high up Mount Shasta is the most sacred place in the world to the American Indians, and many others. Mount Shasta is inhabited by the spirit chief Skell who descended from heaven to the mountain's summit. Skell fought with Spirit of the Under-World, Llao, who resided at Mount Mazama by throwing hot rocks and lava. Mt Mazama collapsed and became Crater Lake.
