This is Joanne’s garden. The view is facing my apartment on the bottom floor. Fluff is surveying the scene from the railing outside my window. This was one of his favorite spots. That’s my neighbor, Jerel opening the door of his apartment. On the right is the yellow rose bush that my picture of “The Yellow ose” comes from. The bougainvillea is climbing the cottage nearest to me. Between the flowers and the people that corner of Park East at that time, in the mid 80’s, was one of the very best places I ever lived.
