"Striped Orchids"

Orchids are some of my favorite flowers. On the Big Island of Hawaii in 2012 I went to the Hawaiian Tropical Botanical Gardens outside of Hilo. Orchids everywhere, and I got lots of great photos, including these exotic striped orchids which I painted. I love the magenta stripes against the warm, yellowish whites, with the occaisional cool white, all against the vibrant green background.
