"White Birds of Paradise"

I've always loved exotic flowers and these White Birds of Paradise are all over Santa Barbara. They're the size of medium size trees and the flowers are around the top. This exotic flower was next door to us when we lived on Arrellaga St in Santa Barbara in the early 1980's. That was a period when I would drag my paints all over town and set up and paint wherever I happened to find a good picture. This was painted outdoors on location, and surprisingly was the only one I painted of the exotic White Birds, except possibly as an accessory in a flower garden.
